Nigerians have reacted to
the news which says authorities are planning on arresting Fisayo Soyombo, a
journalist who exposed the corruption in prisons and police station.
The investigation done by
Fisayo Soyombo showed how drug and sex was controlled in prison by the warders.
Also, he exposed how the cost of deleting one’s details from prison records is
N10,000.
He also extended his effort
to the Nigerian Police by exposing the decay in the force. His investigation
showed policemen “pervert the course of justice in their quest for ill-gotten
money”.
Fisayo Soyombo went
undercover with an alias Ojo Olajumoke. He spent days at a cell at Pedro Police
Station, Shomolu, Lagos. He also went to the Ikoyi prison where he spent eight
days.
