First Lady, Aisha Buhari
commented on the video while receiving First Ladies from states on solidarity
visit to the Presidential Villa.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha
Buhari, has apologised to her children and well-meaning Nigerians over the
viral video circulating in the social media for the embarrassment the video
might have caused.
In the video, a woman was
heard speaking angrily in a mix of Hausa and Emglish at the Villa.
The video was circulated by
Fatima Daura, daughter of the powerful Mamman Daura, President Buhari’s nephew.
Aisha admitted to the BBC
Hausa Service she was the woman speaking in the video and explained the
circumstance.
She was angry following the
dilly-dallying of the Mamman Daura’s daughters from vacating the Glass House in
the Villa, as directed by Buhari. Buhari’s son was to move into the house,
after his accident on a bike.
