Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of
the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has blamed the death of his mother on
the Federal Government.
Kanu announced yesterday
that his mother passed away on the 29th of August after doctors battled to save
her life in Germany.
The IPOB leader revealed
that an alleged invasion of his Abia home by the Federal Government in
September 2017 led to the illness his mother suffered which led to her death.
“Watching her children
being hunted and killed by the federal government was the cause of her illness,
and today we have lost her,” he said.
He added that
the death of his mother won’t deter him from his struggle for the actualization
of Biafra republic. “I had said before that I was ready to sacrifice anything
for Biafra, and today I have sacrificed my mum. We will not be dettered, we
shall continue to fight for the freedom of our people”.
