Phillipines President, Involved In Motorcycle Accident

Phillipines President, Rodrigo Duterte has been involved in a motorcycle accident in Manila. 

The accident which happened at the Malacanang palace complex in Manila saw Duterte suffer minor injuries to his chin and elbow. 

“The president was reaching for his shoe when he fell off his motorcycle,’’ presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo said. 

The accident resulted in a minor injury, particularly light bruises and slight scratches to his elbow and knee,’’ he said.

A former close aide, Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go, told reporters that Duterte’s hip was a little sore, NAN reports. 

Go said Duterte was resting in his official residence on Thursday. 

“The palace assures that there is nothing to worry about regarding the president’s condition,” Panelo said.
