The Federal
Government through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster management,
and Social development today disbursed N20,000 Conditional Cash Transfer to
poor Nigerians in Anambra, Rivers state, Kwara, Plateau states.
Recall that
President Buhari on Sunday March 29, announced that some palliative measures
will be put in place to help cushion the economic effect of the sit-at-home
order which began in Lagos and Abuja on Monday March 30th. Part of the
palliatives is the disbursement of N20, 000 to the poor and vulnerable
Nigerians.
The Federal
government has said that only one million Nigerian families whose names are on
the National Social Register (NSR) would get the N20,000 palliative
