Ten traders were arrested around the Rukpokwu axis in Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers State while they were caught trading openly.
A Port Harcourt Magistrate Court has convicted 12 traders and 10 passengers for violating the coronavirus restriction of movements in Rivers State.
At the court hearing presided over by Magistrate V.E Nweke, the violators were convicted after pleading guilty to the offence with an option of N15,000 fine for each.
They were prosecuted by the Rivers State Attorney General, and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Zaccheus Adangor.

In the same vein, Magistrate V E Nweke also convicted 10 passengers who violated the restriction of movement by embarking on inter-state travel into Rivers State from another state.
The Magistrate granted the request of their lawyer to give them the option of N15,000 fine each and ordered the confiscation of the 18-seater bus that conveyed them from Anambra State into Port Harcourt.
