"Hushpuppi has dented Nigeria’s image" – Abike Dabiri-Erewa

Hushpuppi and his gang were arrested in Dubai for defrauding 1.9 million people worldwide and taking in N168 billion.
The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has said the the crimes committed by Hushpuppi has dented Nigeria’s image.
He came to limelight in 2017 and remained there due to his show off of a flamboyant lifestyle. His social media pages are flooded with pictures of his exotic cars and private jet lifestyle.

Reacting to his arrest, Abike Dabiri-Erewa lamented that he had the effrontery to show off despite his illegal activities.
NiDCOM boss lamented “Committing crime and still having the audacity to show off like Ramon Igbalode aka Hushpuppi. This is really denting our image as a people.
“But like I always say, fraud does not represent who we are as Nigerians; hardworking, dedication and commitment is what we, as a country are known for.”
This could be part of why a Dubai company sidelined Nigerians from a job vacancy which requires African application.
