"What is happening with COVID-19 is persecution of Christians" – Pastor Chris

Oyakhilome has been highly vocal against the guidelines which was agreed on by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has said that Christians and churches are being persecuted with the guidelines on COVID-19 given by the government.

Oyakhilome who pastors Christ Embassy Church wondered why other places operate freely without regard for the guidelines but churches are strictly monitored.

He said, “What is happening to Christians and Churches qualifies fully as persecution because in many countries, many states and many cities, people are allowed to go to the shops, market places, crowded places for hours without wearing a mask. 

Nobody cares about social distancing…and yet we have those who have the audacity and the foolishness to go into churches and say they are monitoring churches because the virus only attacks people who go to church”.
