Prince Azim, the son of the Sultan of Brunei, has suddenly died at the age of 38, the southeast Asian kingdom announced on Monday October 26.
Azim, who was
a Hollywood movie producer, died on Saturday, October 24. His funeral also took place that same day,
before the nation entered a seven-day period of mourning.
The
government did not disclose the cause of his death. The sultan's second-born
son, who was fourth in line to the southeast Asian nation's throne, was well
known for hosting extravagant parties with celebrity guests including, Janet
Jackson, Pamela Anderson, and Mariah Carey.
He produced
some movies, including the 2014 feature "You're Not You" starring
Hilary Swank, and “Dark Places”, featuring Charlize Theron in 2015.
