FG to Address Albino Education Challenges

According to Vanguard, the Minster of State for Education, Barrister Nyesom Wike has said that the Federal Government is determined to address the challenges that albinos face in the course of their educational pursuits. Represented by the Director of Basic Education in the ministry, Barrister D.C. Uwaezuoke, at a courtesy visit by The Albino Foundation, Wike said the government is very passionate about the Albinism Education programme for which a Blue print of the policy had been drafted and currently undergoing processes for final endorsement and implementation in the government circle. President and Founder of the Albino Foundation, Mr. Jake Epelle, while acknowledging the support of President Goodluck Jonathan, Office of the First Lady, Secretary to Government of the Federation, Federal Ministries of Education, Health, Women Affairs as well as the National Directorate of Employment and other organizations for their contributions to the advancement of the albino community, charged fellow albinos to see themselves as equal to other people and not allow them to be discriminated against. "One of the ways to be relevant in any society is to have sound education that would qualify anyone into various professional bodies in a competitive labour market."
