Heavy Rainfall: Student Died, Swept Away By Flood

Following a heavy rainfall in Alieshime community, Agbor Ika South local government area of Delta State, the community has been thrown into mourning over the death of a female SS3 student of Aliseme Mixed Secondary School who was swept away by the rain.

The student, identified as Bose Igbenoba who was said to be writing the ongoing Senior School Certificate Exam before her untimely death was swept into a gutter by the rain and got drowned before help could come her way, according to source in the community.

The victim has been buried by her relatives.

The Chairman of Alisime Idumu-Uteni Executive Committee, Mr. Augustime Uwagu reacting to the incident condoled the family of deceased while calling on the state government, public spirited body and individuals to come to the aid of the community as he lamented the terrible havoc, and effect the heavy down pour has caused.
