Former Minister Flown Out Of The Country Due To Sickness

Professor Dora Akunyili, Former Minister of Information has been flown out to India due to the fact that her health condition is deteriorating. A family source said she had to be flown to India because she fell ill again shortly after she returned from France.
The family member of the former director-general of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control said “We would rather this was not reported at all because these are trying times for us, but because she is a public figure it would be very difficult to keep it out of the media”.

It should be recalled when she first made her public appearance during the National Conference 2014, she was looking ill but, she said her doctors had given her the permission to continue her normal activities. Although the nature of her sickness have not been disclosed to the pubic, unconfirmed sources say she is suffering from Cervical Cancer. We wish her quick recovery.
