Buhari's Victory: Young APC Supporter Begins Trek From Kebbi To Abuja

Tukur Aliyu, an indigene of Kebbi, who is a supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun his trek from his state to Abuja to celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari election victory, Daily Trust.

Speaking to newsmen before embarking on the endeavour, Aliyu who hails from Argungu local government area of the state said he was fulfilling his vow made before the presidential poll.

He said: “I made a promise that if APC wins the presidential election I will trek from Kebbi to Abuja. I am doing it for my party, APC and I am doing it for Buhari.”

For his upkeep through the endurance trek, the young APC supporter had with him a bag containing garri, sugar, beans cake and cash of N1,500.

Aliyu added: “When I get to Abuja, I will be glad to see President Buhari and congratulate him over his victory at the poll.”

He urged Abubakar Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s presidential candidate, and all supporters of the opposition to concede defeat for peace to reign.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the man who reportedly died after swimming in and drinking water from a drainage (gutter) in Bauchi state to celebrate President Buhari’s electoral victory, Aliyu Mohammed Sani, is hale and hearty. Sani referred to the report of his alleged death on social media as ‘fake news’.

Legit.ng gathered that Sani, a painter, also dismissed reports that he had developed complications and was taken to hospital.
