According to TheNation, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Oil and Gas, Downstream Sector, Senator Emmanuel Paulker and former Director General, Nigerian Television

Authority (NTA) Mr. Ben Murray Bruce has won senatorial tickets of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State. While Bruce was elected yesterday the candidate of the party for the Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Paulker.
