The Christian Association
of Nigeria president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has sued the Lagos state governor,
Mr. Babatunde Fashola, over plans to demolish his church located in Victoria
Island.
Co-defendants of the suit
are the state’s Attorney General, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban
Development, Lagos state Building Control Agency, Lagos State Physical Planning
permit Authority and Lagos State Task force on Environmental Sanitation.
The suit asks the court for
an order of interlocutory injunction, restraining the state government from
demolishing, destroying, dispossessing or forcibly ejecting the church from the
property.
Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor is
the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria he has been accused of
being pro politics for the past couple of years.
