Part Of Joan’s $150 Million Goes To Dog Charities

According to the late comedian's will, which was filed in New York State's Surrogate's Court, she made Melissa Rivers her will's executor with "the broadest and most absolute permissible direction" over her fortune.
Joan Rivers has left her daughter in charge of her fortune, estimated to be around $150m (£97m), which she wants to go to charities, including Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The Jewish Guild Healthcare, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and New York-based food pantry God's Love We Deliver were other charities singled out by the 81-year-old.

Rivers died of brain damage due to lack of oxygen on 4 September. She had stopped breathing during a routine endoscopy days earlier.

A state report said the Manhattan clinic she visited failed to identify her deteriorating vital signs.
