The popular Hausa actor died
yesterday, 9th December 2014.
The actor who was jailed severally during his
lifetime by the Kano State Government under the ex-Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau,
for acting in movies believed to be violating the censorship rules in Kano is known
for his comedy charater in Kannywood. Dan Ibro however went off the scene for a
while until recently when he started featuring in movies again.
However, details of how he
died were sketchy at the time of filing this report, Ibro was in his lifetime one
of the most recognised personality in the Kano Nollywood practitioners called
Kannywood. He is believed to have appeared in more movies than any actor in the
Kannywood industry.
May his soul rest in
perfect peace!
