The African charity icon and one time singer Bob Geldof married long-term partner Jeanne Marine in the South of France.
Bob and French actress are said to have wed at an intimate ceremony in front of close friends and family in Rayol Canadel Sur Mer. Bob's daughter Fifi appeared to allude to the nuptials in an Instagram post, which she reportedly later said wasn't a reference to her own wedding.
According to the Sun: "Fifi gave the game away when she panicked about getting her passport sorted for her dad's wedding. Jeanne has connections to Rayol Canadel so it all makes sense."
The Boomtown Rats frontman proposed to his partner of nearly 20 years shortly after his daughter Peaches Geldof's tragic death last April.
A friend of the couple, model Jerry Hall, broke the happy news at what was otherwise a sad time.
"Bob has proposed," Jerry told the Daily Mail. "She is over the moon. Jeanne Marine has been a rock and a tower of strength over this. I’m so excited for her I am bursting to tell someone.
