Mourners Gathers In Carolina For Memorial Service Of A Man Shot Dead

South Carolina man allegedly shot dead by a police officer, has triggered a many people to come out to pay their last support and respect during the memorial service.
Hundreds of mourners gathered in Summerville on Saturday to pay their respects to Walter Scott.
A hearse carrying Mr Scott's coffin was escorted by two police officers on motorcycles.
The 50-year-old was allegedly shot multiple times in the back on 4 April as he attempted to flee arrest.

The shooting, which was recorded by a passerby’s mobile phone, has become the latest in a series of incidents to reignite a national debate over US police tactics.
Michael Slager, the 33-year-old former North Charleston police officer who is accused of pulling the trigger, was charged with murder and fired from the department.
The cell phone video along with dashcam footage from Slager's patrol car showed Mr Scott attempting to flee after he was stopped for a broken brake light.

Mr Scott owed more than $18,000 (£12,300) in child support when he was pulled over, according to court records cited by the Associated Press.
He had been jailed three times since 2008 for failing to make previous payments. "He had trouble keeping up with the payments, that's all, and he knew he would go to jail," his older brother Rodney Scott said.
"His mission was to avoid the police as much as possible."

Slager said in a call to a dispatcher that he fired his weapon because Mr Scott took his stun gun and he feared for his life.
