American
rapper Nelly, famous for his single “is getting
hawtt in here” who goes by real name is Cornell Haynes, was pulled over about
9.20am on Saturday in Tennessee because
the bus he was travelling in failed to
display a US Department of Transportation and International Fuel Tax
Association sticker.
Police said
they smelled marijuana when they reached the bus and, after searching it, they
found five rocks that tested positive for meth, as well as a small amount of
marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
They also
found numerous handguns in the company of the 40-year-old's next court date is
19 June.
Nelly, who
won Grammy Awards in 2003 and 2004, was released from Putnam County Jail on a
$10,000 bond.
