Man Dupes Woman Of $30,000

Abdullahi Ismaila Mubarak, was charged by Ikeja Magistrate Court for allegedly duping his victim MrsTemitope Kalejaiye of $30,000 in a dealings that was supposed to be an easy exchange.

The defendant, with no fixed address, is facing a three-count charge of obtaining and stealing preferred against him by the police.
The prosecutor, E.I. Nnamonu, ASP, told the court that the defendant committed the alleged offence on February 4, 2015, at Oke Odo pleasure, Abule- Egba, Lagos.

He said the defendant obtained the sum from MrsTemitope Kalejaiye  under the pretext of changing the dollars to naira which he did not do.
According to the presecutor, the offence is punishable under Section 312(a)(b) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.

However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge against him and Chief Magistrate A.O Komolafe granted him bail in the sum of N5,000,000, with two sureties who must show evidence of three years tax payment and a verifiable home address.
She adjourned the case till July 9, 2015.
