Trapped While Trying To Steal From The Dead

An unnamed man was allegedly trapped while carrying out dubious act in Kazure town, Jigawa state.

Local authorities have made reports of a man who was killed while stealing from the dead, the dead body had just been buried only few hours earlier.

The alleged grave theft took place in Kazure town, Jigawa state. The deceased had only been buried few hours earlier.

The case of stealing from the dead is not really strange in Nigeria, about a year ago, there was a similar story that went viral.

According to Tribune, the unidentified young man in Ilobu community, Irepodun local government area of Osun state, met an unfortunate death while attempting to cut off the head of a corpse, buried in a certain Tonto compound within the area.

Reports say the suspect’s accomplices fled in terror after seeing half his body was stuck mysteriously in the grave. The death caused a lot of panic among the residents of the Ilobu community.

Rumours, which made the rounds, had it that the grave theft was for a ritual purpose. Witnesses confirmed that the victim and his cohorts went to Tonto compound in the early hours of the morning, hoping to exhume the corpse of an aged woman and sever her decomposed head.
