retreat has become available to rent for the first time, and will set back
interested parties between $40,000 to $70,000 a week.
The Mandalay Estate is
situated on a stunning 6.2-acre plot on the magnificent land mass - which is
just three miles by one-and-a-half miles in size - and could be ideal for those
supporters of the singer who are under pressure as it boasts several relaxing
hot spots.
While it is not quite life
on Mars, the property features an infinity pool, waterfalls and garden decks,
plus each of the five bedrooms has its own private veranda leading to the
calming water.
Fans of Bowie's impressive
back catalogue of music will no doubt be pleased by the property's pavilion,
called The Studio, which was the 'Starman' hitmaker's island recording studio
and features a bamboo ceiling.
Novelists or aspiring
authors might be keen to pay the villa a visit because it comes complete with a
writer's cottage, where publisher Felix Dennis penned a number of books after
purchasing the plush pad from the late singer in 1995.
