and is regarded as a bell weather for Nigerian music. In 1977 when the entire

social media. Clement Ige, Sunny Ade's spokesman said that the rumour was
untrue as nothing is wrong with King Sunny Ade, adding that he is hale and
hearty and he was not aware of the source of the rumour that had widely spread.
Mr Ige said: “King Sunny
Ade was in Ibadan yesterday and will also grace an appointment with the Awujale
of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona today. I urge the people and the entire
Nigerians not to panic and disregard the rumour as King Sunny Ade is in good
health and full of life."

celebrate his 70th birthday later on this year. He is due to organise a high
profile bash that will attract the who is who in the Nigerian music industry.
