A judge has reportedly
ordered Britney Spears to pay ex-husband Kevin Federline's $100,000 legal bills
in their ongoing child support battle.
According to court papers
obtained by E! News, $100,000 will go toward Kevin's legal "cost and
fees".
The decision comes three
months after the 40-year-old asked for $60,000 a month in child support - three
times as much as the current $20,000.
According to TMZ, Kevin
claimed the pair's two sons, 12-year-old Sean Preston and 11-year-old Jayden,
enjoy a charmed lifestyle when they are with their mum that he can't match.
He reportedly claims the
boys enjoy five-star holidays, have a lighted tennis court and have any toy
they want because Britney earns $34 million a year while he earns $3,000 a
month.
He claims his expenses
total around $23,000 a month.
Britney's father is said to
have offered Kevin an extra $10,000 a month in support, but he turned it down.
A source close to the pop
singer told TMZ: "Britney spends no more on the boys than he does.
“Britney is extremely
agitated and extremely concerned that Kevin is going to no longer allow her to
see their children because he has sole custody as retribution for not agreeing
to the $40,000 in child support payment, which would be a $20,000 increase from
what he is getting now,” they said.
The source went on:
“Britney’s father, Jamie, had signed off on a modest increase of $25,000, but
demanded a monthly accounting of how that money was being spent.
“Kevin has four other
children from previous relationships, and it’s not Britney’s responsibility to
pay for their care.
The source added that
Britney covers most of the boys' expenses while they are with Kevin, like
school and clothes.
Kevin also has kids Kori,
15, and Kaleb, 13, with ex-fiancee Shar Jackson and Jordan, six, and Peyton,
three, with his current wife Victoria Prince.
