Sofia Sanchez, a teenager
in Chicago, has finally gotten her wish to meet popular Canadian rapper Drake.
The rapper visited the 11-year-old girl who is awaiting a heart transplant at
the hospital.
In a video making rounds on
social media, the little girl was seen stunned for about a few seconds before
she got herself together and replied the rapper. She and Drake had a little
conversation, talking about an American television series and a possible music
video.
After a while, the pair
took selfies and videos which were later shared on Instagram. The rapper also
shared the photos with a nice caption.
He wrote: "Me and my
love Sofia talking about Bieber and Owls and Basketball��."
Drake also gave the
11-year-old his autograph, but not before asking for her own signature first.
Sanchez was diagnosed with
cardiomyopathy which occurs when a heart muscle makes blood delivery from the
heart to the body difficult. It could also lead to heart failure.
The 11-year-old underwent
open heart surgery three weeks ago in order to connect a mechanical pump to
help support her heart and blood flow.
She said: "This is the
best birthday present I've ever had. Thank you so much Drake for coming to see
me, it means a lot for you to come and cheer me up."
