Winnie Harlow 1st Model With Vitiligo To Walk Famous Lingerie Fashion Show

Ladies love to take care of their skin to make it appear beautiful at all times. However, a few people suffer from skin conditions that cannot be helped and this leads to feelings of insecurity. Some individuals have been able to successfully conquer their insecurities.
Canadian model, Chantelle Brown-Young, popularly known as Winnie Harlow, suffers from a condition called vitiligo. This results in her body having white or pink patches due to a lack of a skin pigmentation called melanin.

The model revealed that she faced a lot of bullying as a result of her condition and that she changed school several times because her mates called her names such as cow, zebra, among other things.
However, the 24-year-old has gradually made a name for herself in the fashion industry. The excited star was one of the models to walk for famous lingerie brand, Victoria’s Secret, at their 2018 fashion show which held on Thursday, November 8, 2018.

Other top models to walk for the brand include Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, to name a few.

Winnie gracefully strutted the runway as she dressed in pink lingerie with a silver top decorated with feathers. She also accesorised the look with a silver necklace and feathery heels.
In an interview with People, she explained how much the opportunity of walking the runway means to her.

She said:

"It means the world to me. Victoria's Secret might be the biggest show there is because of how many people are able to watch it around the world, so to be a part of diversifying the Victoria's Secret Angel landscape is a true honor that I'm so proud of. Any step towards a truly equal and diverse modeling industry is great, but for a huge brand like Victoria's Secret to include me as a model with vitiligo is a huge step to normalizing it in the entire industry. I'm glad to be the first, but part of me is also sad that there weren't any before me and I hope that there are many more in the future. We need to work towards diversity, not for the sake of it, but to make it the norm. And I hope this is a big step toward that."
Legit.ng earlier reported that Victoria's Secret recently unveiled their fantasy bra worth N362.2 million.

The lingerie looked quite simple and elegant as it wasn’t as colourful as other bras made in previous years
Long-time Victoria’s Secret model, Elsa Hosk, explained that she felt quite privileged to be the person unveiling the underwear.
