African Footballer Killed By Lightning During Goal Celebration

Busia County have been thrown into mourning after Nangina Ward Soccer tournament defending champions Red Sharks FC defender Allan Mbote was struck dead by lightning.

Mbote was celebrating a goal against arch-rivals Raybentos at Luchululo Primary School grounds in Funyula Sub-county on Sunday, December 9.

The two teams had met during the finals of the same tournament in December 2017 with Red Sharks FC hammering their rivals 5-0 in the finals to lift the Cup at Funyula Sports Grounds.
