Former Senior Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP member has reacted to backlash, he got from Nigerians after a Twitter post, he made on Wednesday.
Okupe, who was invited to the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had announced via Twitter on Wednesday, that he was proud to have been treated with utmost courtesy by the officers, during his visit to the anti-graft agency.
The Efcc released me on bail tonite within 48hrs as stipulated by law.I was treated wt utmost courtesy. I feel proud & grateful.

Nigerians who follow him on the platform, criticised him for the statement – even as many accused him, for trying to change ship, in order to avoid prosecution.
In his reaction to the backlash, Okupe said he was right to praise the EFCV operatives for the way, they handled him, just as he would have castigated them, for doing otherwise.
