Wizkid has revealed that he was the one that sought the blessings of Duncan
Mighty on the Fake Love collaboration.
The song,
released in May, was the first-ever collaboration between the pair and it was
an instant hit the moment it was released.
‘Fake Love’
skyrocketed to the top of online, radio and television charts, enjoying both
commercial and critical acclaim.
Following the
release and success of the song, many fans opined that Duncan Mighty’s career
benefited hugely from the collaboration.
Wizkid
reacted to the insinuation during his ‘Made in Lagos’ concert at Eko Atlantic
on Sunday.
The
‘Ojuelegba’ singer thanked Duncan Mighty for “blessing” him with the song and
revealed that he initiated the collaboration.
He said in
Pidgin English:
“Dem no know
say na me come beg you for that song. Today, I just wanna thank you for
blessing me with that song.”
