Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was born 5 March 1937 and he was a former Nigerian Army general who became President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007.
Obasanjo was a career soldier before serving twice as his nation’s head of state. He also served as a military ruler from 13 February 1976 to 1 October 1979, and as a democratically elected president from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007.
The vice president of nigeria under Obasanjo’s adminustration, Atiku Abubakar, shared a congratulatory message on social media:

“‪A very happy 82nd birthday to you, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. No living Nigerian has given as much to Nigeria in peacetime and in war as you have. May almighty God grant you many more years in good health and continued service to Nigeria and the world at large. -AA”

Toyin Saraki, wife of senate president Bukola Saraki, also shared:

“I congratulate the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library’s Centre for Human Security & Dialogue on the occasion of the 82nd Birthday of its Founder and Patron, Chief (Dr) Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, Former President, Federal Republic of Nigeria

Happy Birthday Sir!”
No message has been released by this current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to congratulate the former president as at press time.
