Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid call out President
Muhammadu Buhari and counterpart in the United States, Donald Trump over the
recent protests and killings by police in both countries.
There has
been serious unrest in most states in the United States of America over the
killing of George Floyd, an African American man who died in the hands of a
police officer in Minneapolis. While there have been killings by Nigerian
police, bandits in the Northern region, and rape allegations.
In a series
of tweets posted via his Twitter page, the music star said both leaders are
clueless on the issues bothering their countries.
According to
him, the only difference between both Presidents is that one of them uses
Twitter frequently.
Award-winning Afro-pop singer Wizkid on his
Twitter page wrote: “Buhari/Trump same person lol. Only difference be say one
sabi use Twitter pass the other. Clueless!
Wizkid had
earlier reacted to the recent happenings in Nigeria after Justice for Tina
became a trending topic after a trigger-happy police officer aimed at a bus
diver who he was trying to arrest for violating curfew and in the process
mistakenly shot the unarmed teenager who happened to be nearby.
He wrote;
“Police dey kill black Americans and Nigeria police dey kill Nigerians. No man
fit solve this matter. God save us. God save the world! Save the people.”
His tweets
are coming at a time when Nigerians are also seeking justice for the alleged
rape of Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100-level Microbiology student of University of
Benin, UNIBEN who was allegedly raped and murdered by some unknown persons
while reading in a Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, in Benin City.
Her death has
since led to reactions and a demand for justice from Nigerians.
