Nse Ikpe-Etim: Yes, I'm engaged but not pregnant

Phone Swap, Black Gold and Reloaded are some of the films that placed the actress on the A-list. For those who truly follow high fashion, they hail Nse as one of the stylish trendsetters in Nollywood. 


The lady who first gained the notice of producers with her well-written scripts has been picked by film critics as one of the actresses who will rule the big screen in 2013. But this is not the major reason why this year is going to be special for her. Nse is likely to tie the nuptial knot this year.
The news of her December engagement to a mystery man got out last week and the actress isn't too happy about this. It is quite obvious she would have preferred that her love life remains a private matter. When The Entertainer spoke with Nse on Tuesday, she turned down all entreaties to reveal the identity of her fiancé.
The sultry actress blatantly refused to mention where her intended husband comes from, how he proposed or where and when the wedding will take place. She simply chose to pooh-pooh talk that she is pregnant. "I can see you are looking for details. But I will not say anything," she said curtly.
"I won't tell you how he proposed. All I can say is that I am engaged but I am not pregnant like some people have alleged." Sources close to the actress said she has committed herself to a couple of film projects that will be jeopardized should she get pregnant. Meanwhile, when asked why she accepted the marriage proposal from her fiancé, Nse became even more evasive, saying, "he is a man and that is why I agreed to his marriage proposal."
She added thus: "Marriage is a private matter. So, I won't be giving out any details. I like living a quiet life."
