Dangaji emerges as President of PMAN

 Music promoter, singer, businesswoman, Artiste Manager, Oluremi Aminat Dangaji, has been elected as the new president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN).
The exercise was held last week in Lagos, as part of the election calendar that was initially scheduled for Port Harcourt.

Three delegates from more than 15 states including the FCT attended the election. In her acceptance speech, Dangaji promised to reconcile all the warring factions because a house divided against itself cannot stand the test of time. "Veterans will be taken care of morally and financially while musicians under the association will enjoy their royalties.

The issue of piracy will be addressed while the artistes who owns these music have nothing to show for their music. She promised to address the issue of piracy during her tenure. Secretary-General of PMAN, Kenny George, declared Dangaji the new president after one of the contestants for the post failed to attend the election.

Corroborating what George said, the National Legal Adviser, Mr Uure Joshua Kara said the election was legal.
