New Kanye West's Album (Yeezus)

According to the Guardian, Kanye West has apparently named his new album Yeezus, and will release it next month.
Rap-Up is reporting that the album has a name and will be released on 18 June. Details have not been confirmed by the rapper, but he did stir speculation about the possible release date when he tweeted simply "June eighteen" earlier this month. The title is a pun on his nickname, "Yeezy", and the name of Jesus.

West's girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, and co-manager Don C also appeared to confirm the title in a photo posted to Instagram.

The pre-publicity campaign for West's sixth solo record, the followup to 2010's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, has been gearing up for some time. Over the weekend he premiered a song, New Slaves, using projections on to buildings in 10 cities across the world. Dealing with themes of modern-day slavery, the track features vocals from Frank Ocean. Another new cut, Black Skinhead, was premiered on Saturday Night Live. The provocative track features the lyrics: "You see a black man with a white woman / At the top floor they gon' come to kill King Kong / Middle America packed in / Came to see me in my black skin."

West is known to have worked with Daft Punk on his forthcoming record. The French duo, currently enjoying a dramatic revival in their own fortunes, programmed drums for it. Thomas Bangalter recently told Rolling Stone: "It was very raw; he was rapping – kind of screaming primally actually. Kanye doesn't give a fuck."

Meanwhile DJ Peter Rosenberg, of New York radio station Hot 97, also revealed that playbacks have taken place at West's label, Def Jam. He said: "Everyone at the label listened to the album and loved it. I heard it's dark, but really good."
