Nigerian Governors Kick Against State Of Emergency

The Nigerian Governors Forum has rejected the purported plan by the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and other troubled northern states.
In a statement issued by chairman of the Forum – Mr. Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State on Monday, the governors advised the Federal Government to reject any advice to make such a declaration in the troubled states.

“These requests are being made by people who do not wish our country well and who are bent on plunging the country into a deeper crisis,” the governors said.
