Lake Vanished Villagers Fears The Devil Pull It Into Pit Of Hell

Terrified residents in rural Bosnia where lake has vanished fear the devil is pulling their little village down into the pits of hell.
The lake drained overnight earlier this year in the hamlet of Sancia.

The hole has inexplicably grown deeper and wider by the day. It now resembles a yawning chasm and none of the locals can determine how deep it actually goes down.

Local media say an underground river is to blame for creating the hole and draining the lake. But superstitious peasants believe the devil is behind it.

"We are wondering what we have done to offend the lord," said one.

"We think that we will be the next to be pulled down this hole."

Villagers have taken to holding special prayer services and walking around with garlic in their pockets to ward off Satan.

An expert is due to arrive in the next few days to ascertain whether houses near to the hole are in danger.

"We wait for experts to come as the hole gets closer and closer to some houses.

We fear it could soon start to pull the houses in the hole", one villager said.
