His recruiter, Patience Godwin, is currently undergoing interrogation at the state CID.
Vanguard gathered that Patience was arrested at her hideout in Odopetu area of Akure metropolis and one 14-year-old girl about to be taken to the Lebanese rescued.
The state Police command while speaking on the woman who trade young girls to Libya for prostitution, said she was arrested at the Olufoam area of Federal Housing Estate, Shagari Village in Akure following intelligence reports.
In related news,a middle aged woman, Chinwe Chinasa, has also been arrested for allegedly trafficking six young girls to Libya for prostitution
Wole Ogodo, the command image maker said that six young girls had been prepared for the journey to Libya where discovered after the raid on the hideout.
Ogodo stated that as part of the preparation for the girls their hairs would be shaved and nails cut.
He assured that investigation was ongoing to apprehend all her collaborators and said some Nigerian international passports, cheque books of different banks and fake Naira notes were recovered from the suspected trafficker’s house.
The middle age woman, Chinasa while she was paraded by the police, spoke saying she picked four of the girls from a hotel in Asaba, Delta State.
Meanwhile some of the girls confirmed that the suspect deceived their parents that she was going to help them look for jobs and not prostitution claiming they were vĂrgins before they were lured into the illicit business by the suspect.
The girls were said to have pleaded that the police should temper justice with mercy since they were deceived into the trade by the suspect.
According to Ogodo the suspects will be charged to court after completion of investigation.
