Groom Arrested During Wedding Ceremony

A couple’s wedding day was ruined by the groom’s former wife. Movern Madhende was getting ready to exchange vows with his fiancee Rejoice Munike.

However, the wedding, which took place in Zimbabwe, came to a halt, when the groom was taken away in handcuffs.

The trouble began when the groom’s former wife, Rumbidzai Chipuma, showed up at the wedding hall with her 2-year-old son, who is also the son of the groom.

The drama unfolded in the Mpumalanga Hotel in Gweru, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Chipuma appeared at the wedding and opposed to it before the preacher could lead the couple through their vows.

Chipuma then called police and the groom was arrested for failure to pay child support for the 2-year-old.

The former wife said that Madhende had abandoned her along with her son and had failed to pay child support for 18 months in the amount of $1,800.

The bride fainted when she found out that man she was about to marry had been previously married and had a son. The woman said that she knew nothing about it.
