In the photo, we can see a lightning strike, along with what looks like a
large shaft of light coming from above, like it's beaming believers back to
Heaven.
Another Reddit user, ani625, explained that the light shaft was actually a
result of the camera trying to capture the scene. ani625 points out
"rolling shutter," which is "a method of image acquisition in
which each frame is recorded not from a snapshot of a single point in time, but
rather by scanning across the frame either vertically or horizontally."
Using rolling shutter, one can expect "predictable distortions of fast-moving objects or when the sensor captures rapid flashes of light." That sounds like a lightning bolt to me!
So, no Rapture yet, but you never know the day or hour...
