The second winner of the near-record $636m (£387m) Mega Millions lottery jackpot has come forward to claim his share of the prize.
Steve Tran of Northern California emerged 16 days after officials revealed there were two winning tickets in the second-largest jackpot in US history.
The other winner, Ira Curry, from Georgia, came forward to claim her share of the prize on December 18.
Mr Tran told California Lottery officials he was unaware for several days that he was in possession of the second winning ticket.
He said he purchased multiple tickets from several shops along his route as a delivery driver and forgot he had stopped at the gift shop in San Jose where the winning ticket was sold.
"I woke up in the middle of the night. I remembered, I think I went to San Jose," Mr Tran told lottery officials of the moment he realised he might be the lucky winner.
He said the winning ticket was still sitting in a pile of other tickets he purchased in the lead up to the highly-anticipated drawing.
Thuy Nguyen, the owner of Jennifer's Gift Shop where Mr Tran purchased the ticket, will received a $1m bonus for selling the winning ticket.
California Lottery officials said Mr Tran has 60 days to determine his payment option.
Ms Curry selected the lump sum payment, which netted her $120m (£73m) after taxes.
