Pastor Francis Irabor, founder of a new generation church, Great Calling Ministry, GCM, escaped death from a group of armed men, suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents, on his way home after last Sunday service, in Abuja.
Narrating the incident, Pastor Irabor, who was visibly shaken by the incident, stated that he was going home after the Sunday service when he was attacked by a group of armed men in a black Camry car, with its number plate concealed.
The car, according to him, was parked few meters from the church, but as he was driving home in the company of his armed mobile police guards, the suspected armed men shot at him and shattered the windscreen of his Sport Utility Vehicle.
And when they noticed that he was being guarded by armed mobile policemen, the assailants escaped. Irabor said that before the attack, he received series of threat text messages from suspected terrorists, which he ignored and “fully putting his trust in God.”
