Protesters On The Street Of Lagos

 
Civil rights groups, activists and sympathizers gathered on February 28, 2014, Friday, to protest passive position of Federal Government on the top challenges Nigeria is facing these days.
The protesters, who were spotted in Yaba Metropolis, Lagos, blasted the presidency’s silence over mass killings of students in Yobe state, the abduction of 20 young teenage females in Borno State by notorious Boko Haram sect, and the missing $20 Billion.

The groups challenged FG to explain the whereabouts of the missing $20 billion unremitted oil proceeds, and protested what they called “the leadership failure” in the country, among other things.
Unlike protest in Abuja on February 27, 2014, where some of participants have been beaten, tear gassed and even arrested, today’s protest in Lagos was not interrupted by the police force.
