Singer Pharrell’s Hat Sells For $44K

Many of you may recall Pharrell Williams at this year’s Grammy Awards debuting his super-tall Arby’s hat. (The one designed by Vivenne Westwood with roots going back to 1982 and Malcolm McLaren’s & the World Famous Supreme Team’s “Buffalo Gals.”) Skateboard P put the fashion item up for grabs on eBay in support of his From One Hand to Another Organization, which benefits underprivileged kids.

Well, it ended up selling for $44,100! And the multi-talented producer hoped on his Twitter account to thank the buyer, whom his tweet suggests he thought was a random rodeo boy. Turns out, the folks at Arby’s (who had been clowning Pharrell for stealing their hat) bought the designer cap to encourage his cause and reclaim their logo. Now all they have to do it buy back the one he wore to the Oscars, and the cover of Billboard, and…
