Fire Flare Erupting From The Sun

NASA has released pictures of a 'graceful' solar flare
A video showing stunning images of a huge flare erupting from the Sun has been released by Nasa. The eruption, which took place last Wednesday, was described as "graceful" by the US space agency.
Solar flares are powerful bursts of radiation and Nasa classified this one as an M6.5 or mid-level.
M-class flares are 10 times less powerful than the most intense flares, which are labelled as X-class.
Harmful radiation from a flare cannot pass through the Earth's atmosphere to physically affect humans on the ground.
However, they can disturb the atmosphere in the layer where GPS and communications signals travel.
There has been a recent increase in solar flares, as the Sun is approaching the peak of the its 11-year activity cycle.
