Real Housewives Teresa n Joe Sentence To Prison

Remember Teresa from the real wives of New Jersey? The vicious sister in law that is always on the brother’s wife case, well the law of Karma has catch up with her, do no evil see no evil. The husband and wife who became celebrities after starring on The Real Housewives of New Jersey have been given jail sentences after pleading guilty to fraud.
Teresa Giudice was jailed for 15 months on conspiracy and bankruptcy charges while her husband, Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, an Italian citizen, was sentenced to 41 months.
Together they must pay $414,000 (£257,000) in restitution.
Judge Esther Salas said Teresa, 42, will serve her sentence first so Joe can stay at home with the couple's four children.
The reality TV star cried as she apologised in court before her sentencing.
The couple lived a lavish lifestyle on the show

"I fully take responsibility for my actions. I need to learn to take responsibility for myself," she said. "I can't even explain the pain that I have gone through. I am more sorry than anybody will ever know or understand."

Joe, 44, also apologised and said he had disgraced many people.
He could face deportation after his prison term is completed. His lawyer said he came to the US as a young child and did not know he was not an American citizen.

The couple, from Towaco, entered plea deals in March, admitting to bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.Joe also pleaded guilty to failure to file tax returns on income totalling nearly $1m (£620,000).

Teresa must turn herself in to authorities to begin serving her sentence on 5 January 2015 after the judge said she would allow the family to spend Christmas together.

The Giudices have appeared in five seasons of the show, where they revelled in their luxury lifestyle and spent lavishly on their children and themselves.
In the first episode, Teresa paid $120,000 (£74,000) in cash to furnish a room in their house styled after a French chateau.

In their plea deals, the couple admitted that from 2001 to 2008, they submitted fraudulent applications for mortgages and other loans amounting to around $5m (£3.1m), falsely claiming to have substantial salaries.

The Real Housewives series of programmes also follows wealthy couples in Miami, Beverly Hills and Atlanta.
