Soldiers Raid Drug Dealers, Two Killed Others Sustain Injuries

A popular joint located at the Dagba area of Abuja known for dealing on hard drugs had on the evening of Saturday, October 10, 2014 been raided by operatives of the military killing two persons and leaving several others with serious injuries.
It was gathered that the initial plans of the soldiers’ visit to the area was to arraign some drug suspects before things turned sour and was followed suit by a shootout which victimized several people.

Punch reports said that the survivors of the incident who sustained serious injuries had been taken to the hospital whereas the corpses of the two dead victims were deposited at the morgue.

Reacting to the development, a security source maintained that the soldiers embarked on the operation in a bid to curtail the miscreants and drug dealers from Dagba, which is located around Area One, Abuja.

According to the unspecified source, “It was a military operation targeted at miscreants, drug dealers and other dangerous elements inhabiting the community. It was unfortunate that some of them died during the operation, but the goal of the operation was to rid the area of dangerous elements, drug dealers and other misfits that are engaging in illicit activities.”
