Abu Rumaysah was arrested
in an anti-terror operation in September and later released on bail.
He was detained along with
the radical Islamist Anjem Choudary and other former members of the now banned al
Muhajiroun group.
He is understood to have
skipped bail in the last couple of weeks and has now begun tweeting photos and
messages from his new home in Syria.
In one message he said:
"What a shoddy security system Britain must have to allow me to breeze
through Europe to the Islamic State."
In a recent interview for
the US broadcaster CBS Rumaysah told the 60-Minutes programme that he couldn't
even love his mother because she was not a Muslim.
It comes as Home Secretary
Theresa May prepares to announce a series of counter-terrorism measures in the
House of Commons on Wednesday afternoon.
On Tuesday a report into
the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich in May 2013 found his death could
have been prevented if Facebook had reported to intelligence services comments
he made on social media about killing a soldier.
Parliament's Intelligence
and Security Committee also found there had been failings in MI5 and MI6
handling of investigations into the two killers, Michael Adebolajo and Michael
Adebowale
