This was included in a statement published on the official website of the Nigeria police force.These admonitions are the fallout of an protest today, Wednesday, November 19, when some political leaders led by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, barricaded the Entrance Gates of the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Reacting to
this the IGP further advises members of the political class and their followers
who have grievances to seek restore in the court of law, rather than disturb
the peace of innocent, law abiding citizens.

Abba added
that the incident was provocative and uncivilised but the Police exhibited
maximum restraint in the face of ceaseless provocation by the APC leaders and
their motley crowd without confrontation.
It would be
recalled that less than three months before the 2015 general elections, the All
Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers state has finally disclosed that
Governor, Rotimi Amaechi defected the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the
APC in 2011 when the mess by the PDP-controlled Federal Government under the
watch of President Goodluck Jonathan became an unmistakable threat to the very
survival of the country.
