Nick Checked Into Rehab While Being Investigated By Police

According to the People, the boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown was said to be so overwhelmed by his girlfriend's situation that he has sought professional help, Nick Gordon has checked into rehab.

Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her home in January, and since then Nick, who has a strained relationship with his girlfriend's family, has not been allowed to visit her in hospital.

A source close to the Browns confirmed that Nick "did go to rehab" earlier this week.  "He is very distraught over what is going on," they told People. "He really wants to see her. He is upset about a lot of things: her being sick, him never getting respect (from her family.)"

It seems that Nick checked into rehab shortly after recording an interview with Dr. Phil McGraw on Thursday. Their meeting, which is being called an intervention, will be aired during an episode of The Dr. Phil Show on 11 March.

During his appearance Nick opened up to the doctor about the "severe pain, mental anguish and panic attacks" he has experienced since discovering Bobbi Kristina in a bathtub in late January. He also spoke about the suicidal thoughts he was having if his girlfriend, who still remains unconscious in hospital, doesn't wake up.

It is unclear what substances Nick is being treated for in rehab, but a press release for The Dr. Phil Show revealed that he is battling drug and alcohol addictions.

Bobbi Kristina's aunt Leolah has taken issue with the fact that Nick reached out to Dr. Phil, and on Saturday she took to Facebook to claim that Nick is currently being investigated by the police.

"Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobby Kristina Brown," she wrote. "We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit."

Leolah added that Nick has never explained what exactly happened the day that Bobbi was found at home.
